Alternatively, use our new Industry Chart of Accounts Industry Template to generate a tailored Chart of Accounts for your industry. Note, this is only available for those on Growth and Scale price plans.

The process:

• The AI produces an Excel import template with GL accounts, and categories already filled in for that industry. Just edit as required.  
• Note, the AI template only includes one tax code (zero rate, excluded from the VAT return). Therefore, add your own VAT codes after importing.
• The import and validation process follows the same logic as a standard non-AI COA template.
• There's a quick thumbs up / thumbs down option after generating and after uploading, so we can learn what's working.
• If the AI isn't working at that moment, the other template options will still be available.

Security:

• No confidential client information is ever sent to the AI; it only creates a template based on the industry selected.
• No new access levels are needed; if you can already import a chart of accounts, you'll see this new option.
• Every template generation is recorded so there's a clear trail of who used it and when.
